CRM without Sales: rights and the landing page

A CRM or customer experience team works without access to Sales.

Steps

  1. Give the role CRM rights (Settings โ€บ Users & access โ€บ the role): View to see leads, opportunities and the pipeline; Create, Edit, Delete to work on them.
  2. A user with CRM but no Sales lands on Customer experience โ€บ Analytics after signing in (or when they click Dashboard). CRM and customer experience go together.
  3. They reach Leads, Opportunities, Lead quotations and Customer experience from the CRM tabs. The Sales menu isn't shown to them.
  4. Sales stays closed to them: sales documents, invoices and the Sales dashboard need Sales rights as before.

Good to know

  • Quote on a lead creates a Sales quotation, so it still needs Sales - create.
  • Converting a lead to a customer needs Customers - create.
  • Roles that already had Sales rights keep working with leads and opportunities as before. Nothing is taken away.
  • CRM view also opens the customer experience analytics. Tickets, forms and their settings still need Customer experience rights.
