Unique dealer codes: linking dealers to your SAP, Oracle or Navision customer

Each dealer’s code in your business system - how its own prices reach it.

Steps

  1. Supplier portal → Dealers (portal administrators). First, at the top: Your business system - SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central (Navision), Dynamics 365 (AX), Sage, Odoo, Tally, QuickBooks or another - and, if you wish, what it calls a customer’s code. Save.
  2. The dealer code column takes your system’s name - for Car & General (SAP Business One) the Business Partner Code (CardCode); SAP S/4: Customer number (KUNNR); Oracle: Customer account number; Navision / Business Central: Customer No.
  3. Type each dealer’s code exactly as in your system (e.g. C10045) and Save. A blank removes it. Search the list by code too.
  4. A code belongs to one dealer: a code already given to another dealer - or the same code typed for two dealers - is refused, and nothing is half-saved.

Good to know

  • The code is how your prices find the dealer: in the price sync from your system (every hour after the stock - one list for all dealers matched by code, or each dealer asked for with its own code), in the all-dealers price sheet (dealer_code column) and through the API. Rows with an unknown code are listed after each sync; a dealer whose prices could not be fetched keeps its prices. Navigate’s platform team can set the system and the codes from Platform → Key suppliers → a supplier (Settings and Dealers tabs).
